My name is Shannon Cunningham and I am excited to be your child’s special education resource teacher at Cyber Academy. I received my undergraduate degree in early childhood/elementary education from Anderson University and my graduate degree in special education from Clemson University. I taught nine years in Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and Preschool Special Education in a brick and mortar setting. This will be my second year at CASC. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child this year as we embark on this journey together.
You can expect to receive a welcome phone call from me very soon if you haven’t already, however, please do not to wait to get started! Your child will be invited to my class connect sessions several times during the week based on his/her goals and special education services. Reading, Math, Writing, and Social Skills/Behavior small group class connect sessions are mandatory sessions (these sessions will show as “Required” on your child’s daily plan according to his/her IEP services). During these sessions we will work on making progress and mastering IEP goals, as well as receiving support towards grade level topics.
Please find my contact information above. Please e-mail me with any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to a great year!
